| Bio: I started running in July of 2007 when Dave created the running club. It was a way to get back into shape and quit saying that I couldn’t run due to knee problems. I went from thinking the 2 lap warm up was the total work out to completing 2 half marathons! The last one was PF Chang Rock n Roll in Phoenix of which I finished at 2:06:04. It was 27 minutes off my FIRST half marathon. Personal training sessions with Dave last summer helped me summit two Mountains (Mount San Gorgonio and Mount Whitney). Thanks to Dave, I have lost 35 pounds in the past two years and never felt healthier and happier in my life. My next goal is completing a marathon around 4 hours. | |||||

| Bio: I have been running consistently for the past 6 years and I have run 8 marathons the last five years; my best time in the marathon is 3:24 two years ago, this was enough to qualify me to run in Boston which I run in 07. I want to run in December at the Tucson marathon and hopefully I can qualify for Boston again. Another goal is to run a mile in 5:45 this summer, ultimately my main goal is to stay very healthy where I can still enjoy my running for many years to come. Thank you David for helping us achieve our goals, God Bless You. |

| Bio: I was a runner growing up until I left the Navy in 1996. In April 2006 at 247lbs I decided to start running again and finished PF Chang’s & Nashville half marathons then ran San Diego. I lost 37lbs, but didn’t do as well as I wanted and started a Google search which brought me to David. We made a plan for me to enjoy Virginia Beach half and break 2 hrs at the half in San Jose. After a few short weeks of hard work I actually achieved 1:59 finish at VB and 1:57 at SJ. Now I’m 192lbs of perpetual motion training for a 100 mile ultra-marathon and a 6min/mile PR. | |||||

| Bio:I joined MCC with 2 goals. The first was to run my first marathon, PF Chang’s 2009 and the second was to use it as a qualifier for Boston, which I achieved. Coach David Allison gave me a training program that worked with my schedule. It was tailored for a 3:45 marathon finish time and I came in just under at 3:44:38. Some marathon and half marathon training programs only offer the once a week long run, not MCC. Coach Allison was at the track with us every week , marking our times down, keeping track of our progress, slowing us down or pushing when needed, often joining one of us on the dreaded last lap. His coaching continued all the way up until the last mile of the marathon, where he was waiting to run me in. If I am still in Phoenix for PF Chang’s marathon training, I will most definitely sign up again! | |||||

| Bio:I have been with MCC since August 2007. Since beginning with MCC I have completed two full marathons (P.F. Chang’s Arizona) successfully. This year was most successful as I completed the marathon in 5:35:40, much faster than last year’s 6:08:25!!! Plus my recovery was better! Besides the incredible balance of running workouts David Allison puts forth in his training plan, it is “doable” for everyone and anyone to be successful. One of my greatest reservations for training for marathons was that it was going to take up half my life in order to cross the finish line successfully. David has training plans, which perfectly fits the ‘everyday person’ with the ‘everyday life’. What I have gained most from working with David is that he will encourage you to believe that you can do it. David truly believes each person he works with can cross that finish line – with a smile on your face. Encouragement, confidence and belief are the necessary ingredients for the success of any distance you wish to complete. Paired with a technical running plan which is grounded in expertise, David’s attention to detail, enthusiasm, knowledgeable advice and confidence in each individual he works with, makes MCC stand out from the crowd when it comes to marathon training programs. I am very proud to be a runner of MCC! | |||||
